CONSORZIO ITALIANO BIOGAS (Project leader)
The CIB - Consorzio Italiano Biogas is the first voluntary Italian association that brings together a total of more than 950 members, including farms producing biogas and biomethane from renewable sources, companies and industrial companies supplying plants, technologies and services for the production of biogas and biomethane and institutions that contribute to the promotion of anaerobic digestion for the agricultural sector.
The Consortium, founded in 2006, is active in the whole national area and represents the complete chain of biogas and biomethane production in agriculture. The aim of CIB is the promotion and diffusion of the 'Biogasdoneright®' model in order to make the biogas chain an economic driver for the whole agriculture and to achieve the national and UE objectives set in 2050 for renewable energy and for the fight against climate change.
The CIB wants to be the reference for Institutions for the orientation of choices on national, regional and local regulations, by offering concrete indications in order to promote the technical development of the sector through continuous improvement, optimization and innovation of production processes.
University of Milan 'La Statale' - Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences - Production, Territory, Agroenergy (DiSAA)
DiSAA's research activity has as its core on the agricultural and zootechnical productions. In this area a network of themes is developed in order to touch complex skills and very different sectors. The approaches used involve the adoption of traditional technologies of biology, chemistry, physics, computer science and engineering integrated with more innovative aspects such as those related to the use of computer systems for the development of management and forecasting models.
In recent years, the Department has acquired numerous projects on competitive tenders at international and national level. In addition to these, commercial funding (consultancy, research and training contracts commissioned by public and privates) is another strong point of this university structure (for all activities and news consult DISAA-press:https://disaapress.unimi.it/?page_id=3977

FONDAZIONE CRPA
The Fondazione CRPA Studi Ricerche in Reggio Emilia (FCSR) was established in 1999 by CRPA (Animal Production Research Center), in order to transfer part of its research and experimentation activities.
FCSR carries out activities of organization, management and implementation of research and cooperation projects, consultancy and training in the agricultural sector. It has participated as coordinator or partner in various projects that have involved the sector of plant production for human and animal food and for the production of renewable energy from biomasses.
Other activities regarding the environmental compatibility of the agro-food sector, the quality and safety of animal products, animal welfare.
FARMS PARTNERS
The experimental trials will be carried out in four Lombardy agro-zootechnical farms typically suited to the production of maize for all its destinations: grain (dry or wet) or silage.
Società agricola AGRICASCINAZZA
It is located in the province of Lodi and its cultivated surface is 350 ha. The project trials will be carried out on sweet corn and corn for mash feed. The purpose of the maize co-products is zootechnical (feed for recovery or fattening) and energetic use.
Società agricola LA CASTELLANA
It is located in the province of Milan and its cultivated surface is 800 ha. The main activity is cereal growing and pig breeding and fattening. The project trials will take place on corn for mash feed seeded as first and/or second crop (after winter crop). The destination of the co-products is energy use.
Società agricola PALAZZETTO
It is located in the province of Cremona and its cultivated surface is 450ha. It is a typical dairy farm of the Po Valley. The project trials will take place on second crop silage maize (after the winter triticale) and on early maize before a sorghum in second crop. The destination of the maize co-products is mainly zootechnical (feed for young dairy cow or bedding) and energy use.
Società cooperativa agricola PIEVE ECOENERGIA
It is located in the province of Cremona and its cultivated surface is 700ha. It’s a large dairy farm of the Po Valley. The project trials will take place on first crop of maize silage or corn mash feed. The destination of the maize co-products is mainly zootechnical (bedding for dairy cows).
Enhancing the value of all maize by-products: greater efficiency and environmental protection
About us
